DCS is committed to enabling students to fully develop their ability and willingness to communicate in and comprehend written and spoken languages. All Expeditionary Learning projects and expeditions will require literacy skills: extensive reading, writing, listening, speaking and viewing. Core materials will include a research-based reading program, supplemented with trade books and intervention programs.
