First Graders Volunteer at the Zoo for World Turtle Day

This spring our first graders have become experts on 6 different species of turtles and tortoises.  They’ve each studied one species in depth in preparation for World Turtle Day at the Seneca Park Zoo.  On May 16th, the students and their families came to the zoo, stationed themselves at the turtle and tortoise exhibits and educated teh public about their particular animal.  They passed out trading cards and impressed visitors with their knowledge.  Their final projects for this expedition will be displayed on Exhibition Night, June 19th at school.
