Hi, my name is Jessica Cordova, and I am the Academic Coach at Discovery Charter School. I have my Bachelor’s in Education and Spanish from the University of Miami. I earned my Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College, and I am NYS certified in 1st-6th and Birth-2nd. I began teaching in 2007 in Brooklyn, NY, and started teaching at DCS when it opened in 2012. I can’t believe I am coming up on a decade of teaching!

When I am not teaching, I love watching movies with my husband! I also enjoy playing with our 2 year old son. I love to sing, and try to do karaoke twice a year. I LOVE getting together with my family for dinner every Sunday!

A fun fact about me is that I have traveled abroad to Italy, France, and Chile all before I was 20 years old. I’ve sung in the Vatican in Rome, and at Eastman for the New York State Music Association.
