Barthelemy Koumassou, the father of two students at Discovery, Abiola and Femi, was elected as the parent representative to the Board of Trustees.
Originally from the French speaking Republic of Benin in the Western coast of Africa, Mr. Koumassou came to the United States in 2003. He holds a master’s degree in Civil and Business Law, and is presently pursuing an AA in Early Childhood Education. He is a former French adjunct professor at Monroe Community College.
